Femte I Andre Bar

Strand’s renowned bar "Femte I Andre" is run by Hans, Tor and Jan Bru. It is ranked among the five best bars in Norway on the basis of its expertise and selection. Here, you can find Bergen’s best selection of malt whiskys as well as the city’s widest selection of exclusive brands of cognac.
The Bru family are famous for their unique ability to give personal service and follow-up, and it is not without reason that Femte I Andre Bar has a large number of regular visitors among the locals as well as the hotel guests.

One of the more famous regulars is fictional private eye Varg Veum, who has his own corner in the bar. Here, you can find unique Veum memorabilia, including the door to Veum’s office. Naturally, the bar serves Veum’s favourite drink; Simmers Taffel aquavit, as well as self-composed drinks with names like ”Varg Veum” and ”Bitter Flowers” – the latter is named after the first Varg Veum film, which was filmed in 2007, and they aim to give each film its own drink!
And if you come to the bar on a dark evening, you might even bump into the main character himself...
